Full Time Small Animal Vet Mid Wales – Suitable for New/Recent Graduate
We are ready to expand our team!
We are looking to support an enthusiastic new or recent veterinary graduate with great communication skills at our 4-vet small animal practice in rural Mid Wales.
We are a friendly, independent community practice who prioritise high standards of clinical care and personalised customer service
Our team includes medicine and surgery Certificate holders with visiting dentistry and orthopaedic experts and Registered Veterinary Nurses
Purpose built practice with digital x-ray, dental radiography, ultrasound machine, bronchoscope and in-house blood machine with phone interpretation support from medicine/pathology specialists
We provide our own out of hours care – one weeknight per week and 1 in 4 weekends with most patients requiring intensive or complex hospitalisation referred on to a nearby hospital
Our practice is based in the market town of Welshpool near the Wales-Shropshire border with easy transport links to the Midlands and within reach of the Welsh coast and Snowdonia

What we can offer you:
Salary commensurate with experience
A 40-hour week - we can consider a 5-day or compressed 4-day working week depending on what suits you
Plenty of clinical freedom, a huge variety of cases, with as much or as little mentoring as you want/need
A phased introduction to on-call with vet backup initially (nurse always available)
Dedicated PDP time and support
CPD actively encouraged and funded up to certificate level
Accommodation above the practice is available if required
